With this tutorial, using the cinder blocks and trying to get a set amount of blocks on each wall, I found the scale tool very helpful, not by slowly wiggling the mouse to try to get the correct amount of bricks, but rather just scaling with a number multiplier. So, since the image gives you 6 blocks, just typing 2 would give you 12 blocks (as long as you didn’t manipulate it already). Very quick way to get it done! Most of the manipulation commands work that way. So, I think that might help.
