Just bought new course but can't access the lesson

HI, I just started two new Grant Abbitt courses: One for materials, and the other for texture painting. When I log in and go to my courses, the new courses are there, and I can download resources, but when I click on the Start Lesson button. I get a blank screen and a message that “there is nothing here yet.” I can click the complete and advance button, so now It has registered that I have completed 8% of the course, without seeing any lessons. Please help me resolve this:
Newest version of Firefox, & Newest version of POP_!OS. Updated yesterday.
PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST THAT I SWITCH TO CHROME I NO LONGER USE CHROME FOR SECURITY AND PRIVACY REASONS. Please make your courses compatible with al browsers, thank you.

Edit. Ok, it works in Brave, but not Firefox. Why is that? Please fix. Thx

I suggest you try the Opera browser. I’ve had issues with Firefox on a non-3D graphics site, and their tech support told me to use the Opera browser instead, and I haven’t had an issue getting to their site since.

I can’t guarantee it will work here at GameDev, but it might just be the answer to your issues with Firefox.

Thanks @Miss_B for your suggestion. I actually got it working in the Brave browser. Not sure why they only support Chromium based browsers. I would think they would want to be as inclusive as possible.

I agree. I’ve not used the Brave browser, so suggested Opera as it’s worked well for me. If the Brave browser works for you . . . continue using it. I have no idea why they suggest Chrome, as I don’t use that either. ~shrugs~

Some users, after switching browser / sessions do lose their rights to access content.

Are you using Udemy?

Because the UI (buttons, text chapters etc.) are one server, the video are on a different server. And sometimes this connect gets lost. But I’m not sure this is the real case here.

Hi,

The reason we usually suggest chrome is because its the one suggested by the company we use to host the videos.
We also have a few things that rely on chrome for office things so we also suggest it because we know it works.
I personally dont have firefox installed so not sure what to suggest really but this link gives you some solutions to try

I use Firefox, too, but on a Windows machine. Might be the OS, I don’t know. Check up on any plugins you might have installed, though. Try to disable them for gamedev.tv.

Also, you mention privacy concerns. Check that your privacy settings in Firefox is set to Standard instead of Strict? Strict tends to block third party content, so when the videos are hosted else-where, that could be the issue.

Just a couple of thoughts
