So laid out a quick level to test some of the core experiences I want to evoke. Quick recap, this is a dark humour game show where the player is thrown into the game due to mistaken identity. It’s a fatal version of releaster123.
Aesthetic is 1980s Filmation Engine (Ultimate games like Knight Lore etc)
Stuff I want to establish with this sketch is:-
- You can hide from enemies after working out the route to avoid detection
- enemies can be dispatched with style (to canned studio laughter)
- There is a sense of thrill when you make a bolt for the releaster post
