In lecture 57, it is implied that viewers will be able to download the texture shown in the specific lecture, from the resources tab. However, the texture’s file is a .rar and I personally do not know how to open it.

It is only a compression format. I think you just double click it in the Windows file browser and it finds the means to uncompress it. I do not even think about it. lol.
If that does not work there are various free unzipping programs on the web that cover more than just zip files, .rar is pretty ordinary.
