is there anyway to download this version of the project from Github or could some teacher pass this version?

At the bottom of each lecture should be a link to the GitHub commit for this lecture. You should be able to download a zip of the project in it’s current state, or to clone the repo on your computer and roll it back to the commit you’re looking for.
