Yes, I would highly recommend Blender Guru’s YouTube tutorials as well.

Best to get the course this site is for. Complete Blender for beginners by GameDev.
Udemy has sales all the time, it can cost very little.

I tried using YouTube but the course here is a lot better about planning a curriculum.

It says here Blender can be used for Animation too. Is that true?

Completely it is what it is used for by the Blender Studio, drives much of how Blender is developed. The Studio bit makes short animations. Grease pencil is really for animations 2d. I suspect most of these new nodes for geometry are mostly animation driven wants.
