I already got ahead of myself and had done the basic 3 materials without texture, so it was nice to get a ready-made iris texture to play with!
I kept the whole eye relatively smooth & specular because my reference photo revealed that those look pretty consistent across the eye.
Maybe I should be adding in blood vessels in addition to the light pinkness. (too much screen time…)
