Intro to Bezier Curves - The Importance of Research

I decided to show the entirety of my results for the sake of consistency, but I want to highlight the zoomed in screenshot I’ve also added.

Since these were specified as regulation bowling pins, I wanted it to be as accurate as possible, and the fact that the bottom of the reference image had sharp edges felt off to me. So I did some research of pins from various angles and considered how pins interact with each other. I decided that, for the sake of realism, it would be better to add a slight curve to the bottom, which I made work by scaling and shifting the curve-points.

Yes there will be a soft edge, and you have achieved it well with curves. It would also be easy just to bevel the mesh when created from the curve for the same effect. But a flat base to stand on is particularly important and well done.
