Into the hole, Alice? Part III

My take on the skybox(es).

So my bunny was out …

…on a shiney day

…in the afternoon

…in the evening

…late at night, kept save by his magic carrot, which provides warmth, light and - if needed - a bite to eat (use at your own risk).

LOL i looked you up to see how you were doing. Nice human like character. He looks ready to eat children in their sleep. Haha i have no idea how skinning actually works still, but looks like you set it up hoping to skin it later. Hopefully all the triangles don’t interfere too much; since i usually see people adding extra geometry manually for sculpted characters.

But you can always adjust the positions of the limbs with proportional editing probably anyway.

That glowing carrot looks great; really completes that scene. or is it just the drugs again… the numbers are morphing into letters! I think i might be an impatient bunny whos worried about time all the time! ah! im too too late! too too late!

Fitting for Wonderland-Bunny

I did a very rough “sketch” for the final scene with a extremely “lowpoly bunny” and a depth of field test.
After that i thought it was a good idea to rescale the bunny a bit, which of course messed up the little hairworks i did.
Well i had to rework it anyway

First iteration of the grass here too. Twisted like I am, I have put it exactly at the places, where it doesn’t belong :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: (well its just a test plane put into the scene )

It’s surprisingly NOT easy to find a good angle for a shot (evidence: the screenshot above  ) , needs more planning than i’ve put into it

Anyway, next update will be in Part IV i guess.

Hmm i did the reply thing AGAIN i think

i don’t get why theres no way to edit who ur replying to. But no i got notification; randomly saw it in my gmail just now.

Nice he looks ready to eat the woodland critters in that cave.
Those little cheetah babies from southpark to be exact.

LMAO, the monster you’ve created. Hes barging into the cave to eat babies, hahaha.

Yeah i wish he went into texturing more early on, I think I’m about to watch a couple videos on UV finally, which should be interesting. (hopefully)

Actually i never made a final scene myself because no ground texture to use for one, no knowledge of texturing (i wanted a waterfall); but primarily. Because I had to work with an old version on a differnt computer when my power was down for the sapling tree gen part. And after that i just lazily stroughed into section 7.

You can always come back

Oh, and just to make sure to give you more nightmares about being late:
(well i really wanted to show the rigged buyy. Its working - kinda)

cheers

haha, thats pretty cool. Later it will turn into an acid pool to the bunny’s trippy landscape.

Damn that thing’s really rigged huh? Any good video tutorials on that you could recommend?

I havnt looked yet but its gonna be important in the long run.

I used this one , but failed on the IK handles so far. I posed it by manipulating the bones directly, not VERY comfortable, but for stills it is manageable.
To really learn it, it needs a handful of free tutorials, or a good paid one i guess

yes i could imagine. The simplest information is always such a long process to figure out.
I will probably return to this after I do the human head, but thanks for the link.
In terms of basic usability, Its looking like all you have to do is name the bone and vertex group the name thing?
Well thats the gist of what I gathered thru skimming through. It may be lazy but I will definitely return to this later

Something like that, after assigning the armature to the bunny, every bone generates a vertexgroup which can be used to weightpaint its influence.
One tip though: after assigning the armature modifier, make sure to move it on top of the modifier stack, or the hair will not follow the poses.
It was quite a surprise when I moved the bunny, and it got knocked out of its fur. Loony toons quality moment of laugh

good work man; nice tips. I will take note of this.

AHHHHHHHHHH that’s one creepy bunny man - those soulless eyes have seen too much in this cruel cruel world LOL!

Very nice progression from Pt1&2
