Just on the off chance anyone else gets this bug and doesn’t want to pull their hair out trying to fix it.
ISSUE: Debug.Log does not report input system changes. Input system debugger works fine but nothing happens when running the editor.
CAUSE: Computer may need to be restarted.
As someone who only turns off their computer about once a month, this threw me a curve ball.
