Created my initial chess scene by importing the board and the pawn file. I then placed the pawn where I wanted it, created an opposite black one, created the materials for each, and then used arrays to create the 16 pawns for the board. I also made sure that the pieces were all named correctly and that the origins were set for each piece. I used the A-H labeling to name the pieces.
