Are you using 4.27? You would need to put quotes around the path to cl in the compile commands json files in your .vscode folder (there should be 2). So "command": "path/to/cl.exe @\"path/to/response/file\"" Becomes "command": "\"path/to/cl.exe\" @\"path/to/response/file\"" Note the only difference is the added \"'s

That’s not the right file I talked about. The two files below that with “compileCommands” in the file name.
