Imported image

I am not sure I am in the same topic. The set up for this lecture discussion seems different than the ones I have posted to previously. At any rate, the discussion on importing reference materials as a reference image is very straight forward and easy to understand. My question has to do with the reference image itself. I have an image that has a white background. I noticed that Mike’s image had no background.

The question is: Is that important or not? I have included and image of the Blender Screen.

The background of your reference has little importance beyond whether you can see the edges of the object clearly. Of course, if you were planning to use the image to generate… say the background for your render, you would want to make sure the visible parts of the image will fit with your final goal.

Thank you for the explanation. :slightly_smiling_face:
