This is my progress to this point. My character is a gnoll-type critter who loves pizza and hot-wings, tacos and fresh-baked bread.

Are you working with references?
If so, where did you find them or did you make them and how?

I actually made up my references pretty old-school. I doodled a hyena face in Gimp for the straight-on angle, and then traced over it on another layer for the profile. Then, I just imported the .pngs
