I have a loose grasp (perhaps) of the knowledge we use here, and I would use a component to add to the chair rather than inheritance, since a component can be changed, added or edited at any point in the process. To know what to grab, if I understand the question at all, we will provide subtle clues to show what is to be picked up etc. Would be working with the chair, adding the IsOverlappingActor to it, and checking it each frame, as the player emits a beam (or what I think capsule collision is). After that, change chair position, and lock its position relative to the player.
