If you’ve been following along with Rick verbatim for a while, you might have changed the 3D Icon size to zero to get rid of the camera icon. This will also hide the icons for your otherwise-invisible waypoints.
To unhide them, click on Gizmos at the top of the Scene window, and move the 3D Icons slider to the right a bit until they’re visible.
