I made a card memory game

Hi everybody. After doing the Number wizard and Text101 sections of the 2D I decided to do a little side project with the help of Joseph Hocking’s “Unity in Action” (I’m following the book along with the courses) and created a simple card memory game featuring 5 difficulty levels and some simple animations, SFX and music.

Feedback is encouraged and I hope you enjoy it!

EDIT: There was a bug where the screen size didn’t match the game size and it cut the sides, so in the extreme difficulty you couldn’t see the whole board properly. I rebuilt the game changing the resolution options for WebGL and now it works properly. The music also gets played after a 2-3 second delay, I tried to fix it altering some options in the music track options and in the build options but couldn’t fix it for now. I need to research further

Your card memory game looks absolutely fantastic! I love how you’ve crafted such a captivating experience for players. The visuals are crisp, and the gameplay seems addictive—kind of like trying to solve a puzzle while balancing on a tightrope!

Spider solitaire has always been one of my go-to games for a quick mental workout. Your game seems to capture that same essence of challenge and reward. Plus, the design is clean and inviting, making it perfect for a relaxing gaming session.

I particularly admire how you’ve incorporated various difficulty levels. It adds a layer of versatility that ensures players of all skill levels can enjoy the game. It’s like having a buffet of challenges to choose from!

I’m curious to know how long it took you to develop this masterpiece. Your dedication and attention to detail really shine through. And speaking of shining, those animations are like little bursts of fireworks—so satisfying to watch!

Thanks!

Man, what a throwback! I did this game 3 years ago with just about 2 weeks of Unity experience and it was such a blast, learning how to animate the flips by hand and other things. I should revisit it even if just to improve the UI and some bugs I found later on, like double clicking on a single card counting as having found the pair.
