For mine, I created a UV sphere, just like in the lecture, and left it at the default 32 segments, just like I did with the initial cylinder. But, then after lining it up, I deleted the bottom vertex on it, to create a hole. Then, I deleted the top face on the cylinder/pawn body. Since I knew that both of these holes I created were made up of 32 vertices, I selected the top edge loop of the body, lined it up and scaled it visually to the hole I made in the bottom of the sphere. Then, I removed duplicate vertices to join all of the geometry into one single piece.
