I know. I know. Totally dumb, Unreal got stuck and froze my computer up.
The interesting part is what happened next. My project file wouldn’t open anymore. I tried every combination of housekeeping and in different sequences:
- Scrutinize syntax
- Compare to his project files
- Close all Unreal processes from the task manager
- Delete folders
- regenerate project files
- rebuild from VS Code
In irritation, I turned the computer off for the night in hopes I’d see my absurd mistake easier after some rest. You know what was wrong? Nothing. I brought it all back up and rebuilt this morning just to be safe and my project opened fine.
So don’t despair. You might have such luck too.
