Here is the way I put the stripes on my pin.
I think I labeled everything well enough that someone could recreate it, if they decided to try.
Is that geometry nodes? Great job.
A black magic I am avoiding. Modeling is a hand an eye process not mathematics for me. A lot of fuss about them but I think in reality they will be little used bar the higher end users for pro games and animations.
No, it’s shader nodes. It’s just for putting the stripes on the pin. I did not want to deform the geometry.
I’ve played around a little bit with geometry nodes. It looks good for scattering things around a scene.
Ah well very well done old nodes can do some remarkable stuff too. I still take the easy way like the course.
Yes to be fair scattering instead of hair particles may be good, not investigated them yet. Along with one thing I saw on Youtube was good. It is the entire node generation of geometry that is just not suited to me. Nor your complex nodes here. Very clever but I am more a pick up paintbrush than a calculator to program a robot to paint for me, sort of old man!
