Ok, it was a mind blowing amount of tweaking possibilities. Tried them all, also tried to add some extra edge loops and even turn some of them into sphere (after applying the modifier), but it didn’t make to look it any better. And to emphasize the mind blowing character of this lecture, used a Fracture creator (an add on for 2.7 which is not available in 2.8 yet, so had to play with append between the versions back and forth).
