I can’t change CPU compute to export faster , even from perferences / cycle render devices, I only have None/Metal to choose, how can I export the animation faster?

Ugh it is Apple. Perhaps their cpu is not usable for rendering?
Whatever, the settings are for rendering not exporting. I know of no way to affect something basic like exporting, it would presumably only use the CPU anyway.
I expect Blender offers you whatever your machine has and can be used.
It does just show what there is it can use.
