hi I am havin problems my W key is not making me move instead is making the select tool change
could somebody help me?

Those wasd keys only move the camera when you activate fly or walk mode.
View, Navigation, Fly Navigation.

but i usually always use these keys to move around in blender but it wasn’t the same way i did in these modes

Did you select view > navigation > Fly mode ?
Which activates wasd movement.
Better to select camera first and do shift ~, also activation wasd.

Unless you had set something special up those keys never move the view about unless in fly/walk mode. It is really a game way of moving about.
