How to stop objects occluding lights?

I have some emissive textures lighting my scene. When an object is near them, the light in the scene dims. It’s nice and realistic but I’d like to avoid this, I just want the light to pass through as if it wasn’t there.

I’ve tried culling the object the textures are on from the camera. This stops the light from being seen but the dimming behaviour still happens.

I’m using 2018.4 LTS.
