Someone will know, several do it. I have never done it. But if you want to show animations here just upload the clip to YouTube or a similar service and add the link in the post you want to make.

Hi,
as far as I know, there is no way to save .gif file directly from Blender. In order to get animated gif, you need to render your animation out as video file (like avi) or sequence of individual frames.
If you go with avi, getting animated gif is as simple as going to site like:
https://cloudconvert.com/gif-converter
or

or
https://www.adobe.com/express/feature/video/convert/video-to-gif
upload and convert.

For image sequence you need some kind of video editor - most of them can export animated gifs. But this is a little more complicated and because editors vary a lot Im not going to post tutorials here
For free editors you can check Adobe Express, it should export gifs. (Or DaVinci Resolve, if you feel the need for adventure, but this is quite complicated editor, so if you are not interested in video editing dont go this way  )

But for simple preview exports, Id personally stick with .avi. Its much less work.
