How did you get the test card? I see no such option anywhere, in the Android dialog, on Play Console, in Google Play payments on Android?

If i remember correctly when you use the test link version it automatically uses a test card for purchases but make sure you double check this before you purchase anything as i wasnt able to verify my google developer account so could not test this part of the course.
