How to 45deg miter join

hello people!
Need your help! how can I make this kind of miter join from the bottom right?

I want to make this insert for the building edges, but in this case I really don’t know how to make it in blender. I’ve used to do this pretty easy in any CAD software using the object snap, so I could take the intersection of the projection from both external faces of those walls.

thanks in advance

Hello everyone!

I’ve just got a helping hand from an skilled pal via Blender Discord and the solution was just use the Intersecting (Knife) from Face tools (Ctrl + F)

Problem Initial state: How could I create a miter join for my walls?

Creating the new geometry extruding both faces (Extrude Individual faces - Alt + E)

Deleting unnecessary geometry

Accessing the Intersecting Knife (via Ctrl + F or Mesh > Faces > intersecting)

voilà c’est fait! Got my intersecting edge \o/
miter05

Assembled!

Hope that helps everybody else.

I knew there was a knife tool but I haven’t played with it yet.
So I learned something new and useful, thank you !
