How do you make a more open grip?

The left hand has a relatively closed grip, and I’d like to open up the fingers more so that the gun fits snuggly in the left hand. I’ve been playing around for a couple of hours, but I can’t find a way to do this efficiently. I can manipulate and save changes in the animation, but I don’t think that this is the way to go, because if there were a lot of animations to go through, it would be extremely tedious!

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I was thinking about this too. If you look at Unreal’s documentation around IK, they talk about how it can be used to modify animations to accommodate the surrounding environment. The example they use is having a foot naturally make contact with uneven terrain, or walking up stairs. I’d image the same process could be applied to a gun resting in your hands, but as you were saying, it seems like you have to do it with individual finger bones. I wonder if UE has some sort of collision modifier for its animations that you could use.
