How do I edit this "Montage" type of timeline?

I elected to go with the initial triple shot burst for the rifle. When we did sound, I just made a quick custom event to loop it with the .06 timing from we’d seen in the particle emitter.


Looking for a solution here I thought I could maybe layer the animation over itself 3 times and blend. This isn’t working yet. Why can’t I have the same animation overlap? Presently it seems to have the effect of a much more aggressive kick on #2 and #3 while the overall timing is just too long. It must all be faster.

What am I missing?


Here we go, If you just select that clip and observe the details panel you can change the playback speed. You can even tell it to loop so you don’t need the same clip in there a few times. Finally, my blend mode in had been flipped to “inertialization”. Don’t do that.
