Fascinating White pieces style. Great job. 
They have thickness, so solidified? Then Emissive wireframes?
Trouble is the Black pieces need some similar treatment really to match.
@NP5 I agree that the style is great, especially for the white pieces. My take on it was that it was like a futuristic game of remote chess. The black pieces are yours and the holographic white pieces are your opponents. I imagine that wherever they are, the whites are solid and the blacks are holographic.
Probably completely missed the point of what the OP was going for, but that’s just my take on it

Good idea!
It occurred to me later that the black set could be done in red, as some sets are red/white. I do not think black will ‘glow’ or show emission.
