Instead of a tripod, I went for a hexapod, using colors from the Atari 800 default palette:
…for some reason, the bloom didn’t do much, perhaps the purple was too dark? As I often do, I rendered with both Eevee and Cycles and mixed the results in Gimp.
For Eevee you need to switch on bloom.
Cycles doesn’t work like that. This bloom trick can be added with the Blender Compositor tool. Where you can do Photoshop layer like tricks.
Bloom is on, and cranked-up fairly high, too, but (in Eevee) its effects are still quite subtle (not visible without cranking the setting up).
Maybe increase the emission strength of the material?
