[help] [question] exporting animation of an object and applying to another

Isn’t there a way I could export the location animation data from the previous blender file’s base object and applying to my new Lamp Model? Would be a nice way to recover it…

I was able to do so by appending the armature from my lamp animation into a new file and parenting the default cube to one of the bones. the moral is that you have to import the object/mesh that the animation is part of.
