[Help - Oddity] Application.Quit not working in certain cases

When I run the application without the radio button “Windowed” checked, my UI Text does not change color when passed over or pressed, does not Load Level nor Quit - actually, running this again, the moment the Text lights up, as if being hovered over, is a few inches to the left of the text on the screen.

When I run the application “windowed”, the Text UI elements work fine, coloration and button.

Has anyone else encountered this? Windows 8.1, Unity 4.6.9.
