If you don’t want to run the cl (name.cpp) and then filename.exe all the time, i found that this extension https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=danielpinto8zz6.c-cpp-compile-run works wonders.
If you press F6 with this install it will auto compile and run for you.
