I’m currently taking both the basic Blender course, as well as the Unreal Engine Developer class. I want to learn game development from the ground up, modeling assets. I’ve always wanted to produce 3D content, but my career has taken me other directions. After 20 years in the software industry, however, I’m finally going to knock game development off the bucket list.
My interest is in creating titles that are designed for VR, but can be played on desktop / console. I’m a fan of open world experiences. I’d also like to work with concepts that balance role play and stats against skill and reactions. I’m most interested in exploring how stories can become games. A good story prompts people to become the characters. At heart, I love RPG tabletop games, and I’d like to discover new, innovative ways to weave them into an FPS / VR experience.
If that sounds of interest to you, let me know!
