Head So Far... But No Dyntopo?

Here’s my “Rick Head” so far, but I did have one question:

I have auto mirroring on from the Caterpillar section of the sculpting section. When I check Dyntopo to ON, the mirror modifier turns OFF. They can’t both be on at the same time, as when I turn the mirror modifier back ON, Dyntopo turns OFF.

Is there any workaround for this? Is this expected?

Pretty sure the lecture does not use any mirror. Sculpting has its own symmetry.

Showing your model doesn’t help to see your problem and or initial setup.
Make a screenshot in Blender, using MAIN MENU > WINDOW > SAVE SCREENSHOT.
