HDRI Lighting

My HDRI from Textures.com does not appear to be affecting the lighting in my scene, I have scene lights and scene world checked under viewport shading, any advice? A quick search suggests I ‘delete lighting cache’ under the indirect lighting tab however this option is greyed out.


When you say “affecting the lighting in my scene”, are you referring to the overall brightness, or the way shadows are rendered?

In EEVEE, world lighting doesn’t cast shadows – so you might not notice any effect there.

Try seeing how things change when you flip over to Cycles and manipulate the Strength of the Background node.
