Having Trouble Sculpting Terrain

I am developing on a fairly fast gaming machine.

In the unity editor when I am raising or lowering terrain, it’s growing my mountains too quickly in an uncontrollable way. I was wondering if there was a setting somewhere in the preferences where I can set the rate of mountain growth ?

Unity version 2019.3.13f1

Try the “opacity” setting like here (at 5:56):

It’s not a course video but it is also rick sculpting a terrain.

Thanks for the tip.

Let me know if this solves your problem

The rate at which you raise / lower mountains is non intuitively set by the Opacity slider. Opacity to me means how transparent something is. The new video helped as I could see rick adjusting this slider to control the rate of mountain growth.

Think of the terrain as a black and white image (height map) black means 0 height and white means full (not sure what value) height.

If drawing with white (increase terrain height) or black (lowering terrain height) makes sense with opacity.
