My first attempt I tried the challenge by myself… didn’t go all that well.
the mirror modifier gave me unexpected results I extruded the edges first I believe then got two manes and a ugly model overall…
Practice makes perfect still took a little bit of time after instructions but I got on quite nicely I believe 
I did model the mouth in a previous attempt however the faces were split apart once adding the mirror modifier and I had weird doubles all over the place got too jiggy with it.
