This is really well done. Nice ASCII art, useful stats display, good difficulty progression (I didn’t make it through Level 3). Great job!

Haha, I know how it feels when your game turns on you. One of my own has a lot of random chance and I usually call it a cheating p.o.s. when I play.
That sounds like random chance alright!
