H. Poincaré

Hi,

I am struggling getting even more detailled with my model so I will stop there for now and show you what I got so far

Quick reminder, my model was Henri Poincaré, a brilliant mind, so here comes a picture and my model side-by-side:

The picture isn’t HD, nor coloured, 1890-1900’s quality like :slightly_smiling_face:
Don’t ask me, I don’t really know how the glasses hold to the face
More !

This section was fun and interesting and I acquired plenty of knowledge on anatomical models like this one. I am quite happy with the result, but I feel like I could get even more detailled. I just lack practice making a head.
It was good to use the particle system again, I like the beard I created

Cheers !

Hi,

It have been 22 days since I’ve completed this challenge and I finally did an other human character, it was requested by a friend and was a good practice

Maybe, you are recognizing which character it is
We haven’t done any lecture on the body so it was kind of a first time, as for clothes making.
The hairs are done with béziers curves, beveled with a Bézier circle, I think it suits this kind of charater more. The dress folds were done with the sculpting tool, it was quite fun to do but quite tricky too :upside_down_face: .

Because it is the “Reviewing your work objectively” section, I will say that I need some practice on body making, and body rigging (for animation purpose), I learned that I can’t model a foot
(I gave up at some point), I also learned that game/manga characters doesn’t have the same head proportions than real humans (eyes especially) and thus it was a good practice making one  .

I feel that my skills improved a little, and I know what I will work on the next couples of days: Body making ! And after that I will get back to my Inn characters and gave them true bodies/face (Section 7)

Cheers !
