So based on my reference images I made: the nose, an eye, half the mouth, and an ear.

Do you come along well with the tutorials on blender version < 2.8?
There’s not a lot that you could change, I mean once you spend enough time with the sistem you start to see the equivalent of what is shown in the tutorial with the current version youre using.
The only big changes are the names of certain things or actions and their location within the UI.
