Hi all!
Godot 4 is the new big thing in gaming now days, but gamedev.tv still don’t have anything on it.
I making thing topic with the hope of showing them there is an interest in videos on Godot 4.
As for what I love to see:
GDScript in project form.
RTS tutorial.
3d turn based rpg.
Blender to Godot.
What do you think will make for good videos?

Yeah it would but it isn’t as great as unity or unreal which is probably why Gamedev tv doesn’t devot part of their time to this. Like I said I though those ideas are great, just Gamedev tv members probably aren’t in the position to start a new type of tutorial, great idea though.
I see your point. but at this point much of gavedev videos are outdated and Godot may not be as big as unity or unreal, but many indies are moving to it. and as Godot 4 just come out, it’s a good opportunity to capitalize in a growing market.
That’s a pretty good point, maybe gamedev tv will eventually come through with a tutorial such as this.
we did have a couple of godot 3.x courses a while ago, both using the GDscript and C# mono builds.
these courses were archived and removed from new registrations…
but, as you say with 4 now released and 3.5 as the LTS, its picking up traction again
Interesting that gamedev tv had those courses before, maybe they will come back out with it then.
I would love to see a Godot course, it’s quite an interesting engine that is starting to catch up with Unreal and Unity in many ways, and what makes it even more interesting for a lot of devs, the engine is 100% free and open source, unlike Unreal and Unity.
