Okay, I found that because I am using a later version of unity when I created the gnome animation it would jitter between jumps, specifically the gnome would jump a few types, pause, then jump a few times, pause and so on.
I found a solution based on a post from a previous thread is to add a “rotation” in the animation and set the first and last keyframe to “auto” from the right click menu.
Steps to fix:
- Go to the animation tab and select the “game hop” clip/animation.
- Click the “Add Property” button and select body/transform/rotation and add the rotation for the body object.
- Click the first key frame column such that 2 keyframes, one below the other, turn blue. Now right click and select “auto” from the popup menu.
- Do step 3 for the last key frame column. Test it, the jitter/pause should be gone.
If there is an easier way to do this could you please share.
