At 6:00 in the video, make sure that the box labeled “Ignore for:” or “Add this ignore entry to:” is for “This repository only” rather than “Global ignore list.” If the latter is selected, the gitignore entries will be added to the gitignore_global file in your user root directory, and will not be viewable in SourceTree.
