I posted this around a few FB groups already but worth sharing beyond that.
Today they announced unlimited collaborators on private repos for all (previously you were limited to 3 collaborators on private repositories for free user accounts), including teams/users on the “free” tiers (so now you can form ‘teams’ with unlimited private collaborators on repos too):
The only differentiators left for most users worth value between free and paid ($4 per month per user) to consider are:
- Branch protection (prevent certain types of pushes or deletions from erasing repo history)
- “Insights” that give you some metrics and tree graphs of your repo
By all means not even required for many users, but I do like those features a lot amidst the others.
