Creating a game friendly fur texture is the tricky part for this Guinea Pig Character. Probably just keep things simple.
If you’re planning to texture the whole Guinea Pig with fur, well I can’t wait to see it.
I watched this video earlier this week and think it could work great for this kind of model with the fur. How Are Games Rendering Fur? (youtube.com)
We could do with a blender course on how to create game friendly hair and fur. I dont think Unity would support the blender particle system. Be way too expensive on the game engine.
Very nice and different animal to make.
Painting, sculpting and then baking . Found this https://youtu.be/wzPmOkknAO8?si=wNpX7tstJ-stFPnU
Game engines do not support blenders particle hair system. From previous experience perhaps this is the best solution.
I was just thinking of doing this the other day, thanks so much for sharing this video!
You can make your own brushes with blenders built in addon VDM brushes awesome ! https://youtu.be/a4R_W9gNKoU?si=rtJd1lWO0MbHZwwu
When I was still learning Blender back in 2018-2019, their 52 hour course back then had that covered for a little bunny we were working on… it was useful (I never tried exporting that to Unity though)
I started exactly around same time learning blender. It’s been on and off though learning other stuff. I havn’t touched blender for over a year so still a little bit rusty.
Ginny is turning out even cuter than before. I’m really loving what you’ve done with her.
