Taipan! Remake
This summer I decided it was time to do something on my own, so here’s my remake of the classic trading game Taipan! I loved the original as a boy and thought a text-only game would keep me from getting in over my head on my first solo project. Then I got in over my head anyway. 
I won’t go into detail about any of the rules because I included an in-game help guide and I’m curious to see if it’s effective or not. I think it was actually easier to program the dang game than to write the instructions.

Great work, it looks good.
It’d be nice to be able to skip through some of the waiting. I always find it a bit tedious to wait, especially if there’s not much going on on screen.
You should take this further and maybe implement some new locations and other features not found in the original game (price forecasting, weather forecasts, pirate warnings, maybe a little story, etc).
Keep up the fantastic work though. I’ll probably sit and play if for a bit, so if I think of anything else I’ll let you know.

Thanks for the feedback! I admit I enjoy the leisurely pace but I still should have included a skip option.
There are games where I like the slower pace but I don’t always have the time, so the extra option is always nice.
Stuff like this always comes down to personal preference though, so if you think the gameplay experience is better without the option to skip then leave it out (after all, you are the designer 
).
