Seeing all these hair balls reminded me of this little guy from Digimon back in the day. I tried to make it just fuzzy enough rather than something really hairy.
Now I just have to resist the urge on future projects to just cover everything in hair…

Haha yeah…
Actually even from this simple blob guy I learned it’s important that the number of particle steps be consistent between the viewport parameters and the render parameters. For the longest time I was scratching my head trying to figure out why the hair in the viewport (finally fixed above) didn’t look like the render (it all stuck out straight), and I finally figured out I had to up the number of path steps to get it to look right. Always more to learn!
