Making fur look realistic is difficult. After trying several trial and error methods, I made this decent looking fur.

Yes fur is hard to make looking good. You seem to have done well with it. Grass too!
I would check the eyes if anything. These are pretty good but might still be a bit too human, seems most animals we see little of the whites. Though if you Google dog eyes it varies a bit breed by breed.
